BEIJING, July 12 -- More than 3,000 domestic and overseas small and medium enterprises are expected to participate in a fair to be held in southern China's Guangdong Province in October, according to organizers.

The 11th International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair will run between Oct. 11-14 in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province

With an exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, the four-day fair will feature products, technologies and services on energy saving, environmental protection and low-carbon green development.

Mexico has been invited as joint host country for the fair, said Zhu Hongren, deputy director of the event's organizing committee.

Other sponsors of the fair include the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance.

First launched in 2004, the fair has become an important platform for China's international cooperation on small and medium businesses.
