TIANJIN, Sept. 10 -- Despite subdued momentum of economic recovery recently, Premier Li Keqiang said Wednesday that China has all the confidence, ability and resources to realize the major goals of economic and social development in 2014.
In a keynote speech at the opening of the Summer Davos forum, Li promised that China would continue to coordinate the efforts to stabilize growth, promote reform, readjust the structure, improve people's livelihoods and prevent risks in the rest of this year.
China has targeted its gross domestic product (GDP) growth at around 7.5 percent and consumer price index (CPI) at about 3.5 percent in 2014. It also aims to add 10 million more urban jobs, and to keep the registered urban unemployment rate at a maximum 4.6 percent this year.
