BEIJING, Dec. 1 -- China CNR Corporation Limited signed a sales contract of six trains with Malaysia ERL Airport Express Operating company in Kuala Lumpur.
Liow Tiong Lai, Malaysia's transport minister, said on Tuesday the trains, to be put into service in 2016, will bring a better, more comfortable and more secure service to passengers in Malaysia and contribute to Malaysia’s aspiration to reach the level of the developed countries by 2016.
According to sources, this batch of trains will run on the route between Kuala Lumpur city center and Kuala Lumpur international airport, at a top speed of 160 km per hour and a maximum load of 540 passengers.
