BEIJING, June 6 -- The fifth round of financial ministers dialogue between China and Japan reopened in Beijing on Sunday after about two years of delay due to sour relations.
Chinese Finance Minister Lou Jiwei will talk with Japanese Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso over cooperation in economic, financial and international affairs.
The fourth round of dialogue was held in Tokyo in April 2012. But rows and frictions between the two countries delayed the fifth round previously scheduled for 2013 in China.
The reopening of the dialogue is widely seen as a thawing in bilateral ties.
