
BEIJING, July 27 (Xinhua)-- China's gold production rose by 0.16 percent year on year to 229 tonnes in the first half of 2016, while consumption declined 7.68 percent to 529 tonnes.
The majority - 341 tonnes - of consumption went on jewelry, according to the China Gold Association on Tuesday.
