A Tesla owner in China recently posted photos on his Weibo account, claiming the car's autopilot system failed and caused an accident, Sina.com.cn reports.

According to the car owner, he was driving in driverless mode on Beijing's Fifth Ring Road, when his car failed to identify a black Santana parked at roadside and scratched past it, causing damage to both cars. No one was injured.

The Tesla owner claimed he had no records of road accidents in seven years and he was not behind the wheels when the accident happened as he fully trusted the autopilot system, which cost him an extra 20,000 yuan.

He added that through a video log of the accident he suspected that a computer bug in the autopilot system might have caused the accident.

Tesla has not responded to the accident claim so far.

This has been the second reported case of a car accident involving Tesla's autopilot system in recent days.

The first happened in the U.S. in May, which left the driver dead.
