N'DJAMENA, Aug. 5 -- China will construct a modern stadium with a sitting capacity of 30,000 in Chad's capital, N'Djamena, an official source said Thursday.
An agreement in this regard was signed on the same day by the economic counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Chad and the director of Chad's National Sports Office Youssouf Djibrine.
"This stadium will respond to the sporting needs of Chadians. It will fill an existing vacuum in the area of sports infrastructure in Chad," Djibrine said.
He thanked China for the tireless efforts made until the signing of the agreement for the construction of the stadium, which he noted, "was eagerly awaited by Chadian youth."
