Video game sales in China between January and June have generated revenue of 99.78 billion yuan (14.85 billion US dollars), leading to a 26.7% growth year on year.
Also according to the Chinese State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, the number of Chinese gamers has surpassed the 500-million mark by the end June. While game players with PC terminals are declining, players with smart phone and other mobile devices are on the rise.
China-developed Internet games have netted 3.99 billion US dollars from overseas markets in the first half of this year, up 57.7% year on year.
