BEIJING, May 27 -- A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) met here Tuesday with a visiting delegation of cadres of Chile's ruling coalition.
Zhao Hongzhu, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said the CPC would like to strengthen understanding of the parties of Chile's ruling coalition, and deepen exchanges in governing experience.
Calling Chile a good friend and partner of China, Zhao expressed China's will to further bilateral ties.
The delegation agreed to cement ties with the CPC, so as to expand Chile-China friendship.
The 17-member delegation comprised members of seven Chilean political parties including the Socialist Party and the Party of Democracy.
