VILNIUS, July 2  -- China's embassy to Lithuania held a reception here on Wednesday for Lithuania's Group for Inter-Parliamentary Relations with China, attracting around two dozens of the group's members.

"We enjoy common understanding on the development of our bilateral relations, no matter with Lithuania's ruling coalition or the opposition parties," said Liu Zengwen, China's ambassador to Lithuania during a welcome speech.

He believed that China's relations with the Baltic country would see enhanced development with efforts from the two sides.

"Though different voices and opinions exist during the process, we are able to know each other better through dialogues and exchanges," he added.

Kestutis Glaveckas, head of Lithuania's Group for Inter-Parliamentary Relations with China, commented that China's development is very successful.

"China's overall development is good news to the whole world, because it brings prosperity and peace to the world," he added.

China's development in recent decades is unbelievable, according to Glaveckas in an interview with Xinhua. He has been to China for more than ten times during the past two decades.

Concerning the comparatively small amount of trade volume, he told Xinhua that the two sides enjoyed good perspective.

The current Lithuania's Group for Inter-Parliamentary Relations with China came into being in early 2013, as the largest bilateral groups of its kind in Lithuania's parliament, with 34 of its 51 members coming from the ruling coalition of the Baltic country.
