HARBIN, July 4 -- The first China-Russia Expo closed here on Friday with northeast China's Heilongjiang Province signing foreign trade contracts worth 3.15 billion U.S. dollars.
Heilongjiang Province also signed 260 economic and technological cooperation projects for investment of 68 billion yuan (11 billion U.S.dollars).
The expo opened on Sunday in Harbin, Heilongjiang's provincial capital and attracted more than 11,000 foreign businesspeople from 67 countries or regions, including nearly 5,000 from Russia.
The event's predecessor was the China Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair initiated in 1990.
Russia is a major trade partner of China. In the first four months of 2014, bilateral trade volume grew by 3.4 percent year on year to 29 billion U. S. dollars.
