BUENOS AIRES, July 20 -- Chinese President Xi Jinping left here Sunday for Venezuela after wrapping up his state visit to Argentina.
During his three-day visit, Xi held talks with his Argentine counterpart Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, and met with the country's parliament leaders.
On Friday, Xi and Fernandez agreed to upgrade bilateral ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership from strategic partnership, which was established 10 years ago.
The two heads of state also signed a joint statement and witnessed the signing of a series of agreements in such fields as trade, investment, agriculture, finance and infrastructure.
