KIEV, July 24 -- Two military transport aircraft carrying MH17 crash victims' bodies departed Thursday from Ukraine's eastern city of Kharkiv for The Netherlands.
On the second day of the airlift, a total of 51 containers carrying the remains of victims have been loaded on the planes, the press service of the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry said.
After arriving at the Eindhoven Airport, the bodies are to be taken to the city of Hilversum for examination and identification.
On Wednesday, about 40 victims' bodies aboard two military planes were flown from Kharkov to Eindhoven.
The bodies were moved from Ukraine to Eindhoven, because The Netherlands, which lost 193 of its citizens in the disaster, led the identification of the victims.
A total of 298 people died on July 17, when a Malaysian flight en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur went down in eastern Ukraine.
