BEIJING, July 30 -- Chinese researchers believes President Xi Jinping's state visit to Brazil will boost relations between the two countries.
Zhou Zhiwei, researcher with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, told Xinhua that Brazilians have a high regard for bilateral ties between the two countries.
Zhou cited deals on further deepening China-Brazil ties which were unveiled during Xi's visit last week.
For instance, two Chinese companies signed a deal with Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer to purchase 60 E190 airplanes. The State Grid Corporation of China will also invest in, construct and manage power transmission projects in Brazil.
Zhou said, for Brazil, cooperating with China will help meet the country's need for capital and infrastructures.
The researcher also noted a boost in China-Brazil economic and trade ties.
"Xi's visit has opened new horizons for cooperation, including in financial and telecommunications," Zhou said.
Sun Yanfeng, a researcher with the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, said the financial cooperation agreements signed between the two sides spell a bright future for Chinese investments in the South American country.
Furthermore, Sun believes cooperation in telecommunications, a field that will power the global economy, will not only break the monopoly of developed countries and shore up information security of developing nations, but also expand scope for bilateral trade and economic ties.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of China-Brazil diplomatic relations.
