BEIJING, Aug. 15 -- China's State Archives Administration (SAA) on Friday began releasing documents and videos showcasing Japan's aggression and defeat in China during 1930s and 1940s.
The 24-part video series, titled "The Great Victory," will be released on the SAA's website one per day, following the administration's issuing of Japanese criminals' written confessions in consecutive 44 days since July 3.
The move is to mark the 69 anniversary of the victory for both the national war against Japanese aggression and the world war against Fascism, according to the SAA.
These documents and videos are also aimed to warn invaders who do not learn from historical lessons to "never follow the roads of then Japanese militarists."
The Chinese national war against Japanese aggression broke out in 1937 and ended on Aug. 15, 1945 with Japan's unconditional surrender, which also cemented the total victory of the World War II.
China was the major World War II battlefield in the East and the Chinese people's indelible contributions to the victory of the war for their unswerving resistance against Japanese Fascists, according to the SAA's release.
More than 35 million Chinese people died or were wounded during the war, the SAA said.
