The violators were found to have been involved in 4,480 cases, the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) said in a monthly release on this issue.
Their breaches included violating workplace rules, using public funds for expensive entertainment activities or tours, being lazy at work, hosting extravagant wedding banquets or funerals, indiscreet use of public vehicles and receiving gifts at festivals.
A total of 67,679 people involved in 51,600 cases had been dealt with by the end of July, according to the CCDI's release.
The "eight-point" anti-bureaucracy and formalism rules were introduced at a meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee on Dec. 4, 2012. They require CPC officials to reduce pomp, ceremony, bureaucratic visits and meetings.
