BEIJING, Aug. 27 -- Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed ambassadors to three countries, according to a statement from the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) on Wednesday.
Yang Youming was appointed ambassador to Zambia, replacing Zhou Yuxiao.
Zhang Qingyang was appointed ambassador to Malawi, replacing Pan Hejun.
Li Manchang was appointed ambassador to Serbia, replacing Zhang Wanxue.
Xi made the appointments in line with decision made by the Standing Committee of the NPC, the nation's top legislature.
