CHANGSHA, Sept. 17 -- Chinese police has arrested 32 people and confiscated more than 50 kilograms of heroin in a campaign against a drug ring in central China's Hunan Province, local authorities said Wednesday.
The group's drug network covered three provinces, said Zhou Xuenong, police chief in the city of Hengyang, Hunan.
Local police spent about four months investigating the drug ring, defining key personnel in the operation.
According to the police, the arrested suspects confessed to charges of drug trafficking and selling.
The police also obtained cash worth about 1 million U.S dollars during the drug bust.
