BEIJING, Oct. 18 -- Some regions in north China, as well as areas along the Yellow and Huaihe rivers, will be once again shrouded by smog starting from Saturday, according to the national observatory.
Most regions in central and east China will see haze or slight smog in the coming days, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said. But the condition will be short-lived as a cold front is in sight to help disperse the smog.
Starting on Sunday, a cold front will sweep across China, bringing temperature drops and strong gales along the way to blow away the smog, the center said.
Meanwhile, medium to heavy rainfalls will hit the provinces of Sichuan, Shaanxi and Hubei on Saturday, according to the NMC.
