WELLINGTON, Oct. 20 -- New Zealand Police say a body found in the South Island ski resort town of Queenstown is believed to be that of a Hong Kong woman who disappeared in August, Radio New Zealand reported Monday.
Possum trappers found the body on Friday close to a popular walking track, according to the report.
Senior Constable Chris Blackford told Radio New Zealand that police believed it was that of tourist Kwei Ying Wong, 63, who had been missing since Aug. 22.
Wong, also known as Joyce, arrived in Queenstown on Aug. 18 and was due to fly home on Aug. 23, but never boarded her flight.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances and the death had been referred to the coroner.
