"President Ghani Ahmadzai paid his first state visit to China after assuming office and after meeting the Chinese leaders inked four cooperation agreements and also expressed wish for long-term partnership, a suggestion reciprocated by Chinese president," the newspaper Etilaatroz wrote in its editorial on Wednesday.
The paper also added in its editorial that China as an economic power and a good neighbor of Afghanistan, by investing in Afghanistan can help this war-torn country to embrace peace and security and Afghanistan welcomes China to invest in natural resources and other fields.
Another newspaper the Daily Afghanistan said that China as a regional and world power can play a significant role in helping achieve durable peace and stability in the strife-torn country.
"China by economic investment in Afghanistan and extending political support to the Afghan peace process can help Afghanistan to achieve durable peace," the Daily Afghanistan asserted in its editorial.
"Afghan has hugely suffered at the hands of terrorism and still is suffering at the hands of terrorists whose sanctuaries are in Pakistan. Since china has good relations with both Pakistan and Afghanistan, China can encourage Islamabad to take essential steps for containing terrorism and extremism in the region," the paper said in its editorial.
Another newspaper Sadai Shahrwand also focused on the Sino- Afghan relations and appreciated President Ahmadzai's tour to China as significant for boosting bilateral relations between the two countries.
"China has contributed to the rebuilding process of Afghanistan over the past decade and also invested in the major economic projects of Aynak Cooper Mine and the Oil and Gas fields in the country and has played a more proactive role than other regional countries including India in the field of economy," the paper Sadai Shahrwand wrote in its editorial on Wednesday.
The editorial, besides welcoming China for its investment in economic sector also added, "This is the wishes of all Afghans for China to use its political and economic influence over Pakistan to give up support on militants and thus helps Afghanistan to achieve viable peace."
Moreover, all Afghan newspapers published the visit of President Ahmadzai to China and his meeting with Chinese leaders on front pages.
