Russia to launch 70 Proton rockets by 2020: officialBEIJING, Nov. 4 -- An official plan was issued on Tuesday by the National Development and Reform Commission to cope with climate change from 2014 to 2020.
China will fulfill its pledges to control emissions of greenhouse gases and cut carbon dioxide emissions by 40 percent to 45 percent by 2020 from 2005 levels, it said.
Forest coverage will rise by 40 million hectares in 2020 from 2005, the plan said.
By 2020, China's low-carbon demonstration projects are expected to make remarkable progress and the legal system will have the basic ability to cope with climate change, it said.
