ZAGREB, Nov. 24  -- "Chinese Films Show in Campus" program was launched at University of Zagreb on Monday with a screening of "American Dreams in China".

At the opening ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to Croatia Deng Ying presented Damir Boras, president of University of Zagreb, a set of books "Library of Chinese Classics" in English and Chinese. This is a gift from Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong who visited Croatia in May.

Deng Ying said she was pleased the collection of books would be of use to students and contribute to cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Boras said the gift would be valuable to the sinology students at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences as well as the increasing number of those showing interest in learning Chinese.

Three Chinese films, including "Falling Flowers" and "Young Style" will be shown at the Student Cinema until Thursday.

The program was organised by the Chinese Embassy to Croatia and University of Zagreb.
