RUMQI, Dec. 1 -- A bus in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region caught fire in the regional capital Urumqi in the rush hour on Monday, but no one was injured, said fire fighting authorities.
The natural gas-powered bus on Route 104 caught fire at around 9:50 a.m. on Wenquanxi Road. The driver immediately parked the vehicle and evacuated all passengers. The flames were put under control about 15 minutes later by fire fighters.
The fire broke out in the back of the bus where its engine was located, said fire fighters.
The exact cause of the accident is being investigated.
