SHENYANG, Dec. 3 -- A bank employee shot dead two people and injured two others in northeast China's Liaoning Province Wednesday afternoon, according to local government.
Armed with a hunting rifle, the attacker broke into the hall of the branch of the People's Bank of China in Dashiqiao City and staged the shooting spree at around 2 p.m., the information office of Yingkou City, which administrates Dashiqiao, told Xinhua.
Police captured the gunman, surnamed Liu, at 2:48 p.m. at the scene. Liu fired four shots and all the victims were his colleagues.
Preliminary investigation showed that the shooting is caused by disputes about money, but further investigation is needed to confirm Liu's motive.
Witness said the victims included the head of the branch and chief of the workers' union.
The injured have been sent to hospital and they are in a stable condition.
