HARBIN, Dec. 11 -- A man suspected of murdering a family of four in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province was detained by local police on Thursday.

According to the provincial public security department, the suspect, Wen Haibo, allegedly killed a family of four in Wudalianchi City early on Wednesday morning.

Wen was caught at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, and police also seized cash he stole from the family.

After a preliminary interrogation, Wen confessed to the murder and robbery. The case is under further investigation, police said.
