URUMQI, Dec. 15 -- A man with a knife attacked people waiting at a bus stop in Urumqi, capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Monday evening, injuring three, police said.

The incident took place at 7:50 p.m. at the Xiaoxigou stop in the city's Gaoxin District. Police seized the suspect at the scene.

The injured were taken to hospital but are out of danger.
