
GUANGZHOU, Feb. 4 -- A minibus veered off road while making a turn and fell into a roadside ditch Wednesday morning in south China's Guangdong Province. Ten 10 people were killed on the spot, according to local authorities.
Police in Xingning County, Meizhou City, said the 11-seat minibus had 13 people on board at the time of the accident. The driver lost control of the vehicle at the sharp bend on the downhill expressway in Xingning.
Ten people including four minors were killed and three others sustained severe head injuries. Hospital sources said all of the injured are still in critical condition.
