
KUNMING, Feb. 9-- Two people were killed and another six injured when scaffolding collapsed at a school facility in southwest China's Yunnan Province around 2 p.m. on Monday, local authorities said.
Rescuers had pulled out eight people, with two already dead, by 5:10 p.m. at a student center which is under construction in Wenshan, Yunnan. As many as five people are still trapped.
Firefighters are searching for those still trapped.
