
KUNMING, Feb. 9 -- Five people were killed and another eight injured when scaffolding collapsed at a school facility in southwest China's Yunnan Province around 2 p.m. on Monday, local authorities said.
Rescuers had pulled out 13 people, with five already dead, by 11 p.m. Monday at a student center which is under construction in Wenshan, Yunnan. Two people might still be trapped, rescuers said.
Firefighters are searching for those still trapped.
