
CHANGCHUN, Feb. 16 -- The Changchun Longjia International Airport in northeast China's Jilin Province was shut down on Monday afternoon after heavy snow in the region.
The airport in Changchun was closed at about 3 p.m. and is expected to reopen at 7:35 p.m., according to the Jilin Airports Group.
More than 50 flights were delayed and thousands of passengers were stranded at the airport.
The snowstorm began to hit the city on Monday at noon and is expected to last until Tuesday, according to the provincial meteorological station.
