
KUNMING, March 4--Several buildings in an agricultural trade center caught fire on early Wednesday morning in southwest China's Yunnan Province, with casualties unknown, said local fire authorities.
The fire broke out in three two-storey buildings in the center located in the provincial capital of Kunming City, said a spokesman with the provincial public security fire control contingent.
The blaze was put under control at around 9:40 a.m. by about 150 firefighters, said the spokesman.
The casualties and property losses remain unavailable.
The trade center, which covers three hectares, has more than 200 stores.
