LANZHOU, March 15-- An official with northwest China's Gansu Province was suspended from his job after reporters discovered he watched pornographic videos at work, local authorities said Sunday.
The county government of Huining decided to suspend the deputy head of local transport bureau after reporters from Gansu-based Western Economic Daily reported that he watched pornographic movies during work time, said the publicity department of Huining.
The reporters conducted an undercover investigation at the local government department and found an official watching the movie in his office. The official begged the reporters not to release the news, the newspaper wrote in Saturday's report.
According to the report, there were more than 200 porn movies found on the official's hard disk.
The publicity department told Xinhua that the decision was made after the preliminary investigation conducted by local discipline watchdog.
