
BEIJING, March 16-- A man robbed the Cartier store on Beijing's main shopping street, Wangfujing, on Monday evening.
According to a report in The Beijing News, the man took 11 watches valued at about 3 million yuan (480,000 U.S. dollars) from the store, and fled in a hijacked taxi.
Police received the call at around 7 p.m. and apprehended the man two kilometers from the scene at 7:35 p.m..
Police are investigating.
