GUANGZHOU, March 18 -- Chinese police in the southern province of Guangdong have seized more than 1,000 kilograms of drugs from a chicken farm and arrested 17 suspects, the police said on Monday.
The haul included 500 kg of ketamine and 600 kg of raw materials concealed in boxes in a remote village in Enping City.
Police began to track the movements of the chicken farm's owners in September last year. The investigation led to seven arrests prior to the drug bust on Dec. 20.
The police are still searching for more suspects. The investigation continues.
