
BEIJING, March 22 -- The discipline watchdog for China's central government departments handed out punishment to 151 officials last year, the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) said on its website Sunday.
The State Organs Work Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and its discipline inspection work commission have handled more than 3,000 tip-offs regarding officials' violations against Party discipline and rules, concluding 208 cases.
The commission, which is in charge of discipline for central government departments, inspected the work style of 20 ministries and departments. A website has been launched to receive tip-offs from the public on corruption and discipline violations.
It also strengthened education on Party discipline for central government officials.
