
HARBIN, April 6 -- Two people have been confirmed dead after a coal mine flooded on Sunday in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, local authorities said on Monday.
The accident occurred at about 10 a.m. in Changfeng coal mine of Qitaihe City, according to the city's work safety authorities.
The precise casualties are not available yet and the cause of the accident is being investigated.
The owner of the coal mine had attempted to conceal the accident, but locals reported it to the authorities.
