
BEIJING, April 21 -- Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao met with chair of Cambodia's Funcinpec Party Norodom Ranarith on Tuesday.
Li said China attached high importance to relations with Cambodia, and was ready to forge a community of shared interests, destiny and responsibility with neighboring countries through the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road initiatives.
He also called for continuous high-level engagement and more exchanges between the Funcinpec Party and the Communist Party of China.
Ranarith, son of king Norodom Sihanouk, said the Cambodian royal family and the Funcinpec Party will always support a friendly relationship and cooperation between Cambodia and China.
Ranarith, who led the Funcinpec Party to win Cambodia's general election in 1993, was re-elected chairman of the party in January this year.
