
JINAN, April 30 -- A new deep-water, semi-submersible rig was delivered to its domestic purchaser in east China's Shandong Province on Thursday.
The rig, "Coslprospector", left the deep-water wharf of its builder, Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Limited in Yantai City and was delivered to China Oilfield Services Limited.
With an accommodation for 130 people, "Coslprospector" can operate in seawater of up to 1,500 meters and drill to a depth of 7,600 meters, according to the builder. It can resist winds of up to 117 km per hour.
The Yantai shipyard has produced nine deep-water semi-submersible rigs since 2010.
