
BEIJING, May 5-- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday congratulated Faure Gnassingbe on being reelected as Togolese president.
In a congratulatory message, Xi said China and Togo enjoy a long-standing friendship and have in recent years seen fruitful achievements in their practical cooperation in such areas as investment, trade, infrastructure construction and human resource training.
"I attach great importance to developing China-Togo relations and stand ready to make joint efforts with you to continuously deepen bilateral ties so as to better benefit the two countries and peoples," Xi said.
