On April 29, Wei Xing, Party Secretary of the CPC Pu'er Municipal Committee chaired a meeting, listening to the report on the preparatory work for the 2nd Cross-strait Tea Culture Summit and the 14th China Pu'er Tea Festival and the 8th World Conference of Yunnan Countrymen and planning the following work.
Wei pointed out that above activities are of great significance for the promotion and marketing of Pu'er City, Pu'er tea, the unique tea culture and national culture.
Wei gave positive comment to the sound and orderly preparatory work. He said that, currently, the activities have entered the final stages, the organizing committee, therefore, should further strengthen coordination in accordance with the relevant requirements and detailed responsibilities, to divide work and responsibilities. Close attention should be paid to the timeline to do every work well.
