BEIJING, May 18 -- The State Council, China's cabinet, on Monday announced the appointment of several senior government officials.
Meng Yang was appointed vice secretary-general of the State Council.
Gao Zhidan and Li Yingchuan were appointed assistant directors of the General Administration of Sport.
The State Council statement also said Liu Yanping will no longer hold the position of vice public security minister, and Wang Zuji was relieved from the post of deputy head of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission.
