
BEIJING, May 19 -- Senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Zhao Leji met with a joint delegation of four political parties from Uzbekistan on Tuesday.
Zhao, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said the delegation's China tour showed the parties attach great importance to promoting China-Uzbekistan ties and party-to-party cooperation.
Zhao, also head of the CPC Central Committee Organization Department, stressed China is ready to enhance exchanges with the parties to push forward the China-Uzbekistan strategic partnership.
Head of the delegation Rustam Kamilov said all the parties are willing to strengthen friendship with the CPC and are ready to actively participate in the China-proposed Silk Road Economic Belt initiative and promote Uzbekistan-China pragmatic cooperation.
