
BUCHAREST, May 30 -- Some 30 Chinese teenagers living in Romania competed on Saturday for the qualifications for the finals of the 2015 "Water Cube Cup" Song Contest for Overseas Chinese Youths scheduled in late July in Beijing.
Jin Zechen and Zhu Jiexiang won the first two places and are to represent Chinese youths in Romania to participate in the finals in Beijing.
Chairman of China Romania Culture Exchange Association Chen Jian told the opening ceremony of the competition that "Water Cube Cup" has been successfully held for four years, Romania was included as one of the new participating countries this year, implying the increasing influence of the contest.
According to him, 29 Chinese teenagers in Romania enrolled in the competition since the local division was officially launched on May 18.
