
SHENYANG, June 10 -- Liaoning Province, northeast China, on Wednesday welcomed a new governor.
Chen Qiufa was elected Liaoning governor following an assembly attended by members of the provincial people's congress.
Chen spent most of his career in China's aerospace authorities.
Li Xi was also selected as chief of the standing committee of the Liaoning provincial people's congress at the assembly.
