BEIJING, June 16 -- The Communist Party of China's (CPC) publicity chief asked the nation's musicians to "write for the people, and sing for the people" as he addressed the national congress of the Chinese Musicians Association in Beijing on Tuesday.
Liu Qibao, head of the publicity department of the CPC Central Committee said musicians must serve ordinary people by writing about their lives and expressing their sentiments.
Liu asked musicians to feature the Chinese Dream in their work, "turning ordinary people's fervor to realize their dreams into lively musical chapters".
