A man who believed an advertisement by Samsung Mobile that a cellphone could crack open a walnut found it false after tried it out.
The man bought a Samsung smartphone at a shopping mall in Xi'an City after seeing an advertisement in the store showing that model breaking a walnut with its screen.
However, when the man tried to perform the stunt himself, the smartphone's screen broke, while the walnut remained intact.
The man asked the shop for compensation and was refused. The man reported the dispute to the police. After negotiating, the shop gave the man 1,000 yuan (around $160) as compensation.
