
Chinese shares closed lower on Monday, with benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 3.34 pct to finish at 4053.03 points.
The market has seen its fifth consecutive drop since last week despite China's central bank's easing moves announced Saturday.
The Shanghai Composite Index fell to the lowest 3875.05 points, followed by a rebound which narrowed the decline on Monday.
The Shenzhen Component Index plunged 5.78 percent to close at 13566.27 points.
