Beijing police have started an investigation on a sex video reportedly shot inside a fitting room in a UNIQLO store in Beijng.
According to local media, the video has gone viral on Wednesday on Chinese social media and many netizens have called for police intervention.
In the viral video and photos, a man and a naked woman were pictured having sex in the fitting room of the Uniqlo store in the Sanlitun area, Beijing. The man shot the video himself, which was uploaded to social networks platforms. However, the identity of the man is not yet known.
Some Internet users even questioned whether the video was a form of commercial hype masterminded by Uniqlo.
Uniqlo, the Japanese casual wear designer, manufacturer and retailer, released a statement later on Wednesday that they have paid serious attention to the incident and denied that it was purposely made by the company's marketing team.
