BEIJING, Sept. 7 -- Senior Chinese official Meng Jianzhu met with a delegation of the British 48 Group Club here on Monday.
Meng, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said he was appreciative of the club's contribution to China-UK relations over the past decades. He expressed hope that the club would continue to play a positive role as the two countries improve cooperation in various areas.
Stephen Perry, chairman of the 48 Group Club, pledged to continue working for the friendship between the two nations.
